The Days of Grape Harvest Brotnjo 2025 gathered the people of Čitluk and guests at a ceremony with prime minister Marija Buhač, celebrating the tradition of viticulture and the importance of the development of Herzegovina.

A ceremonial parade through Broćanski Square in Čitluk, which included numerous members of cultural and artistic societies, winemakers, local officials from the Municipal Government and Municipal Council of Čitluk, representatives of all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, distinguished guests from the Republic of Croatia, and a large crowd, marked the central celebration of the 70th anniversary of the tourist-cultural-economic event Days of Grape Harvest Brotnjo 2025.

This is one of the longest-standing and internationally most recognized events in Herzegovina, which nurtures and promotes the tradition, heritage, culture, and folk customs of the Brotnjo region. The Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, recognizing the undeniable significance of this traditional event, has been strongly financially supporting its development and growth for years.

Prime Minister Marija Buhač, along with a broader cantonal delegation, participated in the ceremonial parade and various programs today, highlighting the significance of Čitluk and its exceptional potential in the overall development of Herzegovina's tourism, agriculture, and the entire economic sector.

"The wealth and strong comparative advantage of this region are particularly reflected in the developed wine and viticulture industry, which is recognized and acknowledged worldwide, adorned with prestigious international awards, and has long surpassed local boundaries. Additionally, attracted by the world-famous Marian shrine in Međugorje, millions of foreign pilgrims and other tourists who visit this municipality annually are a capacity that anyone serious must consider. It is up to us to do everything in our power to enable this region to make further strides and achieve even stronger developmental momentum, for the benefit of Brotnjo itself and the entire Canton," said Prime Minister Buhač, especially congratulating the municipal mayor Marin Radišić and his associates, as well as all the people of Brotnjo, on the success of the grand jubilee edition of the Days of Grape Harvest.
